Access to education is a fundamental right for every child, but the reality is that in Nigeria, this right is not being fully realised. This data on out-of-school children in Nigeria show that 1 in 3 children are out of school: 10.2 million at primary level, 8.1 million at junior secondary level. 12.4 million never attended school and 5.9 million left early.
This situation is deeply concerning and highlights the urgent need to address the root causes of educational exclusion in Nigeria.
